Biden mandates net-zero emissions for cows, making windows defund the police — can you believe it!
CON JOBS is a generative artwork by Barry Sutton built from more than 30,000 falsehoods spoken by Donald Trump over the past decade—an ever-growing corpus of political language that continues to define the era.
The project treats these statements as raw material, transforming them through code into new absurdist poetry that echoes the original cadence of power. Each line is algorithmically recombined, revealing how repetition, exaggeration, and spectacle collapse truth into performance.
The homepage unfolds at the historical tempo of deception—one new phrase every sixty-nine minutes—while the Rally accelerates that rhythm a hundredfold, translating years of distortion into a continuous chant. Together they form a living record of language’s corruption in real time.
CON JOBS is both artwork and archive: a time-based installation that exposes the machinery of untruth while preserving its artifacts for future study. It asks how we measure the cultural cost of disinformation when the lie itself has become the most persistent art form of our time.
