Proof
On intention, uncertainty, and the limits of control
Proof explores the unstable boundary between human intention and machine interpretation. Working in stark monochrome and punctuated by assertive red grease-pencil marks, the series stages a tension between deliberate gesture and unpredictable outcome. Here, proof is not verification but presence. The red marks operate as interruptions—signals of human insistence within systems that resist full comprehension. Meaning emerges not through resolution, but through the coexistence of agency and indeterminacy. Proof proposes creation itself as evidence: not of mastery, but of engagement—an acknowledgment that imagination persists even as certainty dissolves.
